About Us

Our team of specialist physicians, skilled nurses, and professional office staff is dedicated to providing you with compassionate, efficient service.

We combine state-of-the art care with old-fashioned courtesy, and our nurses and office staff have been selected for their affability as well as their ability. Together, our staff promises you a medically excellent and personally pleasant experience.

Richard Morris, M.D.
Dr. Morris started his practice in Minneapolis in 1978. He grew up in Philadelphia, was educated at Georgetown University and the University of Rochester School of Medicine, and took his Allergy training at the University of Colorado. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and in Allergy-Clinical Immunology, has served as a director of the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, and as President of the Minnesota Allergy Society. He has extensive experience as a medical editor and in research. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He has particular expertise in mold allergies. He and Carolyn, married since 1969, have three children. After his family, he most enjoys reading, golf and motorcycling.

Thomas Helm, M.D.
Dr. Helm was a general pediatrician in Bloomington for 10 years before undertaking Allergy-Clinical Immunology training at the University of Minnesota. He grew up in St. Paul and attended St. John’s University and the University of Minnesota Medical School. He serves on the In-service Examination Committee of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is currently Vice President of the Minnesota Allergy Society and Minnesota Asthma Coalition. Dr. Helm teaches at the University of Minnesota. With special expertise in food allergies, he serves as Medical Director for the Food Allergy Support Group of Minnesota. He is married and has two young daughters. His hobbies include hiking, camping and archery.

Pramod Kelkar, M.D.
Dr. Kelkar completed his Allergy-Clinical Immunology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic and practiced for three years in Indianapolis before joining Allergy and Asthma Care in 2004.  He was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at both Mayo Clinic and Indiana University School of Medicine.  With special expertise in coughing disorders, he currently serves as Chair of the Cough Task Force of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.  He has served as Chair of the Fellows-in-Training section of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and is currently Co-Chair of the Metro Asthma Coalition.  Dr. Kelkar has presented lectures and workshops nationally and internationally, on a variety of topics.  Dr. Kelkar is married and his hobbies include tennis, hiking and traveling.
